Colour :
The Indelible Ink is tinted violet in colour.

Photosensitive :
The Indelible Ink is photosensitive and on exposure to light the mark on the finger/ neck will turn black or brown in colour.

Duration of ink stay :
The Indelible Ink mark will stay on the finger/neck at least 3-7 days from the date of its application depending upon the percentage photosensitive chemical.

Acidity (pH) :
The Indelible Ink will have the pH between 1 and 3 (In general it will be less than 2)

Photosensitive chemical % (Total solids) :
Total photosensitive content in the Indelible Ink is not less than 10% and upto 25% depending upon customers requirement.

Drying time :
After applying the Indelible Ink on voter's finger/neck, it will dry within 40 seconds.

Performance test:

• Resistance to Rectified spirit, Trichloroethylene, Petroleum hydrocarbon.
• Resistance to bleaching like Soap, Detergents etc.,
  
  The Indelible Ink mark cannot be removed easily by wiping or cleaning with water, soap, detergents or solvents. It is clearly visible to the naked eye. It is not harmful to human health, skin, nose or eyes.

Storage Instructions :
The Indelible ink is suitable for storing at least for 6 months from the date of manufacturing and withstands cool or hot conditions and the packing material will keep their characteristics prevailing at the time of delivery.
It is desirable to store the material preferable in cool and dark place away from heat and fire.

Packing :
The packing specifications are as per Indian Institute of packing under DANGEROUS GOODS REGULATIONS (Indelible Ink will come under Dangerous Goods, which require special packing as per the Indian Institute of Packing for air or sea shipment.)

The Indelible ink is packed in a light proof blue coloured plastic bottles (opaque in nature) with sufficient thickness, having a dropper type inner for marking and the maximum capacity of the bottle will be 30 ml, to fill 20/25 ml Indelible Ink comfortably in it with a air gap to withstand the vapour pressure developed if any.

Test Report :
Our product is tested and confirmed as per IS 13209/91 specifications by National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi who are the official Testing Laboratory for Election Commission of India.

The indelible Ink is being used by the Chief Medical Officers in India for their Pulse Polio Programmes for marking on the fingers of the immunised babies. This confirms that, it is not harmful to human health, nose, eyes and skin. (copy of the order is enclosed for your kind perusal). Hence, the certificate from Health Institute is not required. However, we will provide a self declaration stating that the Indelible Ink manufactured by us is not harmful to human health, nose, eyes and skin.

Production Capacity :
Our regular production capacity per shift of 8 hours is 25,000 to 40,000 bottles.

Other Information :
In general the Indelible Ink will be procured by the Elections Commission before 1 to 2 months well in advance, as such there won't be sufficient time to send the material by sea (by sea it takes longer time minimum of 30 to 45 days to reach the destination). So, it is the regular practice to send the Indelible Ink by air only to reach the destination in time and to avoid last minute tensions.

Delivery period :
In general we require minimum of 15-30 days to delivery the goods from the date of receipt of confirmation letter of credit. In case of urgency we will be in a position to meet your delivery schedule also.
Since, it is an exclusive elections product without any regular commercial transaction in the local market, we cannot keep ready the stocks of Indelible Ink. We have to place an order for the raw materials after receiving the specific orders along with original LC to our banker for the supply of Indelible Ink. Without receiving the original LC by our bankers it is not possible for us to place orders for raw materials and to plan our production schedule. It takes minimum of 15 days for our suppliers, for supplying the raw materials like silver nitrate, bottles, and packing material and inaddition another 15 days for our production. Our past experience shows that it takes minimum of 15 days to receive the original LC by our banker. Earlier the receipt of the original LC by our bankers results in early supply.
