INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USE OF INDELIBLE INK

  • Before applying the ink on finger clean the finger with cotton or dry cloth.
  • Usually the indelible ink mark is put on the voter's left hand forefinger.
  • For best results the mark should be put on the skin above the root of the nail in such a way that the ink should penetrate between the skin and the nail of the finger (as shown in the illustration).
  • In view of slow absorption of ink into the palm side it should not be applied on the palm side of the finger.

  • The moist end should be applied firmly on the finger and turned round with a circular motion. The ink mark should be about 4 mm in diameter or as per your requirement. Ensure that the mark is distinctly visible.
  • The ink mark should not be rubbed off within 30 seconds after applying.
  • Do not expose the ink or tip of the open pen too much to the light. Close the cap immediately after use.
  • 1 ml of ink is sufficient for marking 100 voters if properly used.

MARKER

  • Take the Indelible Ink Pen and remove the sticker label "NOT TO BE OPENED".
  • The mark should be applied with the broader tip so that the mark applied will be
broad. (as shown in the diagram)
  • The mark should not be applied with the sharp edge side (as shown in the picture) which gives a narrow mark instead of broad mark.
  • The quantity of the ink in the pen is sufficient for marking 500 voters if properly used.

DIPPING

  • Dip the little finger of left hand into the opened Indelible ink bottle and wet the finger tip.
